Students will select one of the following essay topics:
• Why Black History Is American History
• The Role of Young People in Advancing Racial Justice Today
• What Black History Month Means to Me as a College Student Today

Guidelines:
Essays must be at least 500 words. Presentation must not exceed 5 minutes. Students must read their essay aloud in front of an audience.

Awards:
All participants will receive a trophy. One selected winner will receive a $30 Amazon Gift Card.

Registration:
Sign-ups available in Student Services, Room 145.

Light refreshments will be available first come, first served.
