http://atlanticcape.edu/vietnamScreening of the three-time award-winning Vietnam War documentary film, “A Place of Honor,” which was directed by the highly-acclaimed three-time Academy Award winner Vanessa Roth, and produced by Amy Osborne and former New Jersey State Senator Nick Asselta. The screening of this 38-minute film will take place in the Student Center (G Building) at 12 p.m.
After the documentary, at 1 p.m., retired police and firemen veterans along with New Jersey State Trooper veterans and retired State Police veterans will honor all veterans who served, and the families of loved ones who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice, at a wreath laying ceremony at the Mays Landing Quad with the Sandpipers Bagpipers from the Atlantic City Fire and Police departments performing. In case of inclement weather, this event will be held in the Student Center (G Building).
This event is free and open to the public.
The Vietnam War Memorial Mobile Wall will be on display at the Mays Landing campus Quad from Sept. 16th - 20th. The Vietnam Mobile Wall has been traveling across the United States since March 2025 and has visited more than 20 locations. This stop is the final official Department of Defense event honoring our Vietnam era veterans, as well as their families, from across Southern New Jersey.
